Stuart Kauvar

Denver native Stuart Kauvar passed away on April 26, 2023. He was 85. A service was held on April 26 at Golden Hill Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Avraham Mintz. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

Mr. Kauvar, born on January 14, 1938, grew up on the West Side and attended Cheltenham Elementary, before moving with his family to the East Side. Mr. Kauvar attended East High School and both CSU and DU.

For over 40 years, Mr. Kauvar worked as a real estate appraiser. He had many positions, including president of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers.

After a previous marriage to Ellen Bernstein, Mr. Kauvar and his second wife Linda were married in December, 1972.

“He was very dedicated to his friends and family and made that a priority,” his family said. “He loved to travel and we travelled with him just up until this past fall.”

Survivors are Mr. Kauvar’s wife Linda; children Pam (Theresa Blue) Kauvar, Stephen (Julie) Kauvar, Kari (Pat) Wells and Lauren Kauvar; and grandchildren Samantha (Rudy) Dozal, Sasha Kauvar, Taylor Kauvar, Brandon Kauvar, Erik Wells and Cameron Wells.

Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Chabad Jewish Center-South Metro Denver.
