Steven Barash

Steven Alan Barash, a native Denverite and owner of a rent-a-car company for 30 years, passed away Nov. 29, 2018, in Aurora. Rabbi Rick Rheins officiated at the Dec. 2 service at Olinger Chapel, followed by the burial. Olinger Mortuary made the arrangements.

“Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and son,” the family said.  “Cars were his passion — buying, driving and selling cars. His greatest hobby was restoring antique cars.

“He will be sorely and dearly missed by all. Rest in Peace. We love you so much, Steve.”

Mr. Barash was born March 16, 1958, in Denver to Evelyn and the late Jack Barash, and graduated George Washington High School.

He was married to Patricia Foley Barash for 32 years.

Owner of the Cut-Rate Rent-A-Car Rental Agency for 30 years, he also was a real estate entrepreneur.

Mr. Barash is survived his wife Pat; children Ryan (Meagan) Barash and Michelle (Aaron) Gramazio; mother Evelyn Barash; grandchildren Landon, Hunter and Connor; sister Karen (Gregg) Engel; and nieces and nephew Adam, Lauren and Jennifer.
