Solly C. Goldberg, a pro golfer and longtime resident of Boulder, passed away June 8, 2011, in Windsor, Colo. Rabbi Bernard Gerson officiated at the June 12 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Mr. Goldberg was born March 25, 1923, in Denver.
He attended Boulder High, Boulder Preparatory and CU.
In WW II, he was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division and trained at Colorados Camp Hale. He also served in a construction battalion with the Signal Corps.
Mr. Goldberg received five battle stars on his European Theater ribbon.
He was married to Rosina E. Taylor until her death on Feb. 5, 1964.
Mr. Goldberg is survived by his daughter Alycia (Marty) Allshouse; grandchildren Brandon (Cassie) Allshouse and Sarah Allshouse; and great-grandson Ty Ryan Allshouse.
