Two solidarity events are planned for June 4 in Boulder, following the terrorist attack there Sunday that targeted the Run For Their Lives group, which meets weekly to raise awareness of the hostages still being held by Hamas in Gaza.
The first gathering, Stand Against Antisemitism and Hate, held at 10 a.m. at the Boulder County Historic Courthouse is hosted by Gov. Jared Polis, with participations with faith and civil leaders, as well as community members. Additional security will be provided by Boulder Police Department and Colorado State Patrol.
At 5 p.m., Boulder JCC will host a community vigil, Coming Together. The event will also be livestreamed, starting at 5:30 p.m.
On June 2, JEWISHcolorado announced the launch of an emergency fund to raise $160,000 in supplemental gifts. All donations will go to the Boulder community to address four specific areas: enhanced safety and security measures; direct victim support; comprehensive trauma support and emerging community needs.
