Singer announces his candidacy

Jonathan SingerLONGMONT — Jonathan Singer announced his candidacy for Colorado House District 11.

Singer was appointed in January to serve the remainder of Rep. Deb Gardner’s term.

“Every day, I fight for working families in our community, and I’ve seen firsthand how Colorado’s families are hurting,” said Singer.

“I want to continue serving in the state legislature to make sure we get working families back to work.” Singer continued.

Prior to serving in the Statehouse, he spent 16 years as a social worker with children, the elderly and families in crisis across the Front Range.

Until 2008, he worked at Denver’s Office of Economic Development, where he connected employers with parents needing jobs.

“One of the best ways to protect families and children is to make sure that parents have access to good jobs,” Singer said.

Singer cited his support of legislation to provide tax breaks to businesses and protection of K-12 funding as his top priorities.
