Sherwin H. Rosen, a native Denverite and lifelong resident, passed away April 6, 2009, in Denver.
Rabbi Bruce Dollin and Cantor Martin Goldstein officiated at the April 7 service held at the HEA. Interment followed at Golden Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
He was loved by all who knew him, the family said.
Mr. Rosen was born Jan. 2, 1942, in Denver. He graduated from North High School and DU.
As a youth, he worked in his fathers market, Phils Supermarket.
A certified insurance agent, he worked for Principal Life Insurance for many years.
Mr. Rosen married Barbara Vaught Rosen on Feb. 14, 1997.
He belonged to the HEA and Bnai Brith, and was a life member of the Million Dollar Roundtable. He earned numerous accreditations in his field.
Mr. Rosen is survived by his wife Barbara Rosen; mother Libby Rosen; children Shana Rosen, Doug Rosen, Sheila Berman, Gregory Rosen, Bill (Marina) Bunney and Bethann (Paul) Doherty; sister Mona Pasternack and brother Marc Rosen; grandchildren Rachel (Simon) Booth, Piper Rosen, Payton Berman, Donovan Berman, Eva Doherty, Abbey Doherty, Liam Doherty and Molly Doherty; great-grandchildren Alana and Oliver; mother-in-law Bobbie Vaught and brother-in-law Kent (Coleen) Vaught.
