Sharon Bernstein

Sharon Arlene Bernstein, a former Denverite, passed away Aug. 6, 2012, in Henderson, Nev. The service was held Aug. 8 at Palm Mortuary-Eastern. David’s Chapel made the arrangements.

“We had a loving, devoted family,” her loved ones said. “As the years passed, as happens to everyone, we scattered. There aren’t many left.”

Sharon Freis was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Denver, and graduated North High School.

She married Stanley Herbert Bernstein on Dec. 5, 1948. Mr. Bernstein passed away on April 8, 1999.

Involved in the wholesale industry, Mrs. Bernstein worked in the sales and distribution of gift lines for Dean McCartney Sales and Terry Moore Sales.

Although she never won any awards, Mrs. Bernstein’s family called her “the world’s greatest mother.”

Mrs. Bernstein is survived by her brother Alan Freis of Denver; sons Randy Allen Bernstein of Las Vegas, Nev., Brad Lee Bernstein of Price, Utah, and daughter Carie (Jim) Bernstein-Klump of Henderson, Nev.; grandchildren Sara (Kyle) Bernstein-Rhoades and Catherine Bernstein; and great-grandchildren Malaki, Kalani, Sephia, Angel, Zaley and Zayden.
