Seth Ward: Islam expert; spiritual leader to seniors

. Seth Ward is an expert at acquiring, translating and disseminating knowledge. Although his pedagogic filter, humility and dry wit might take issue with this assessment — a common occurrence — it’s an appropriate observation. Attired in a suit, his gray hair freshly trimmed at the urging of his wife Carol Kozak Ward, he insists that he’s not a very important person before reaching the conference room. Ward, 66, is a professor (he prefers teacher) at the University of Wyoming, scholar, historian, past director of DU’s Institute for Judaic-Islamic Studies and lay leader of Saturday morning services at Kavod Senior Life.
