Scary Google search results

How indiscriminate or targeted is the Google spider? In the world of the Internet, where Google is king, it’s the question everyone in the website business asks, but few outside Google-dom know.

It’s amazing what seemingly innocent or well-intended searches can conjure up.

The other day I decided to inform myself as to what .cfm at the end of a URL notates. So, like all the billion other computer users on the planet, I go to Google, where I type “.cfm define”. Seems benign, right? Well, notice anything unusual about the results?

It may be a bit difficult to read, but the sixth result is a link to the Neturei Karta website. For those unfamiliar with the name, perhaps the image below will clue you in.

Yup. It’s the extremist chasidic sect that actually empathizes with and supports Jew-haters and Holocaust deniers.

Coincidentally, this week is the so-called “4th International Conference for Support of Palestine, The Model of Resistance, and Gaza, the Victim of War Crimes” sponsored by…you guessed it, Iran. And attended by…you guessed it again, representatives from Neturei Karta.

Thanks, Google, for giving the loonies even more exposure.

It’s disgusting what these so-called religious Jews are doing. And in case you have any illusions about this “human rights” (read anti-Jewish, anti-Israel, anti-American) conference, read the keynote address at women.gov.ir. Meanwhile we got Trita Parsi speaking in a Denver synagogue and the Roger Cohen article on Iran that you linked to in an earlier post. Hey, with friends like these, who need enemies?
