Sara Pomeranz

Sara PomeranzSara Louise Pomeranz, a longtime Denver resident, passed away March 11, 2012, three weeks before her 96th birthday. Rabbi Sara Gilbert officiated at the March 18 graveside service at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“Sara was a kind, generous, caring and loving woman without malice,” the family said.

“Everyone who knew her admired and respected her, and envied her athletic prowess.”

She was born in Syracuse, NY, the third child of Rose and Harry Coggan. After Mr. Coggan passed away, the family settled in Denver.

Sara had a wonderful marriage to Frank Pomeranz, who predeceased her. She then met Irv Manassee, a good friend of her brother Mort. They were together for 22 years.

Mrs. Pomeranz is survived by her two sons Ric (Karen) Pomeranz of Australia and Alan (Melinda) Pomeranz of Denver; grandsons Jake (Hayle) and Otis Pomeranz of Australia; great-grandchild Kodi of Australia; and sister-in-law Bernice Coggan.

She was predeceased by her son Ron Pomeranz in February, 2011.

Sara will also be mourned by the extended Manassee family and Linda Manassee Buell and her husband Chuck.
