Sandra Reznick

Sandra Rose (Nelson) Reznick, a Denver native and former resident, passed away May 2, 2017 after a short illness in Potomac, Md.

Sandy was born May 24, 1940, in Denver to the late Dr. Eli and Evelyn Nelson. She was the sister of the late Leeba Simon and Verna Dee Goren.

A graduate of East High School, Sandy attended the University of Michigan.

She maintained many close friendships in Denver until her passing.

Sandy married David Reznick in July, 1975, and the couple moved to Potomac. David passed away in 2014.

Sandy was a reading specialist and a tutor for the learning disabled.

A breast cancer survivor, she advocated for breast cancer awareness.

Sandy was a board member and leader of the David Reznick Foundation, which promotes community revitalization through mentorship opportunities, strengthening resources and preserving affordable housing.

Sandy Reznick is survived by her children Steven (Lydia Junewick) Reznick, Jodie (Phil) Poresky, Laura (Alex Zhu) Reznick and Mitchell (Diana Burnham) Reznick; grandchildren Josh, Nathan, Lila, Anna, Miriam, Jacob, Aaron, Kevin and Sarah; and sister Donna Jacobs.
