Sandra Farber-Volk

Denver native Sandra “Sandy” Farber-Volk passed away on April 14, 2023, at the age of 86. A service was held on April 18 at Mt. Nebo Memorial Park, officiated by Rabbi Richard Rheins. Feldman Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Mrs. Farber-Volk was born in 1938 and grew up on Denver’s East Side, attending East High School. She worked as a legal secretary and later office manager for the law firm of Neef, Swanson and Meyer.

After “dating” for nearly 40 years, Mrs. Farber-Volk married Russell Volk in 2008. Mr. Volk passed away in 2014.

“She loved to travel, go to the theater, the opera, the symphony, and go ‘up the hill” to Blackhawk,” her family said. “Everyone would agree that she had the most positive attitude toward life and was never seen without a smile.”

Mrs. Farber-Volk was a member at Temple Sinai for over 40 years.

Survivors are nieces and nephews Kathy (Rem) Bashari and Scott (Diane Cushman) Neal; and great nieces and nephews Ariel Bashari and Yonatan Bashari, and Zach and Ashley Neal.

Contributions may be made to the Alan Farber Memorial Camp Scholarship at Temple Sinai.
