Sam Sloven

Sam Sloven, a member of the first graduating class at George Washington High School, passed away March 5, 2020, in Denver. Rabbi Steven Foster officiated at the March 8 service at Rodef Shalom. Interment followed at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“Sam was a loving husband to Marty, his soul mate of nearly 47 years; a supportive and amazing father to his two sons; and was incredibly close to his sister Linda,” the family said.

After GW, Mr. Sloven attended CU and graduated with an accounting degree.

During his 50-year career, he worked at established firms until he built his own successful practice.

An avid sports fan and memorabilia collector, Mr. Sloven’s goal was making his grandchildren fans of “Star Wars,” sports and card collecting, like their Zaidy.

Sam Sloven is survived by his wife Marty Sloven; children Zachary (Hannah) Sloven and Jonathan (Sidney) Sloven; sister Linda (Richard) Albert; and grandchildren Landry, Russell and Meyer.

Contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
