Ryan Warner, familiar voice on Colorado Public Radio

RYAN WARNER is early. Sitting patiently in the foyer, his translucent eyes absorb the minutest detail. Once the clock hits 9:30 a.m., he extends a firm hand and greets everyone he passes on the way to the conference room. Warner, the senior host and executive producer of CPR’s “Colorado Matters,” is preceded by his reputation — the melodious voice, singular interviewing style, ubiquitous intellectual range. While these qualities are self evident on the radio, the man who owns them is somewhat of an enigma. Warner is 6’2” — much taller than imagined.
