Ruth Springer

Ruth SpringerRuth Springer, a longtime Denver resident and past president of Hadassah, passed away Aug. 9, 2014, in Denver. Rabbi Ben Last and Cantors Joel Lichterman and Zachary Kutner officiated at the Aug. 11 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

“Family, friends, community, religion, tradition and tzedakah (charity) were the essence of her life,” her loved ones said.

Mrs. Springer was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Cheyenne, Wyo., and graduated from Denver’s North High School.

She married Bernie Springer on July 18, 1943. Mr. Springer passed away on Feb. 25, 2013.

A professional homemaker, Mrs. Springer was past president of Hadassah, Beth Joseph Sisterhood and the Women’s League of AMC Cancer Research Center.

Mrs. Springer is survived by her children Esther (Bruce) Flossic and Dr. Robert (Suzan) Springer; grandchildren Geoffrey (Karen) Flossic, Rachel (Jordan) Kortmeyer, Jonathan Flossic and Zoie Leah Springer; and great-grandchildren Marshall Kortmeyer and Emily Flossic.
