Longtime Cheyenne, Wyo. resident Ruth Langley passed away on September 17, 2022, at the age of 87. A service was held Sept. 22 at Mountain View Memorial Park, officiated by Mt. Sinai lay leader Jeff Weinstein. Schrader Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home made the arrangements.
Mrs. Langley was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in Houston, Texas.
Upon high school graduation she married John Purdy, a US Air Force pilot. In 1964 they moved with their two children to Laramie, Wyo.
Ruth Langley was married to John Langley for 32 years until Mr. Langley’s passing in 2008.
She became a member of Mt. Sinai Congregation in Cheyenne, and remained an active congregant until her passing.
Survivors are children John David (Lisa) Purdy, John (Sherena) Langley, Jr., Nancy (Robert) Campbell, Jeneane (David) Buresh and Jan (Tom) Loftin; and 11 grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to Davis Hospice Center or Mt. Sinai Congregation.
