Rosa Baltser, mother of JFS president and CEO Yana Vishnitsky, passed away March 11, 2010, in Denver. Rabbi Steven Foster and Cantor Regina Heit officiated at the March 12 graveside service at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Her family was most important to her, and she was dearly loved by everyone, the family said.
Mrs. Baltser was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Kiev, Ukraine.
She attended law school in Kiev and was a corporate attorney.
Rosa married Leonid Reyf in 1945.
She immigrated to the US in 1987, at the age of 58.
Mrs. Baltser is survived by her husband Leonid Reyf; children Yana Vishnitsky (James Wolfe) and Alan (Lana) Reyf; grandchildren Vitaly (Jill) Vishnitsky, Jacob Reyf and Alexandra Reyf; and sister Anna Tsesarsky.
