Robert J. Tucker, a business owner, entrepreneur and philanthropist, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 8, 2021, after a courageously battling a brain tumor. Rabbi Joe Black officiated at the Feb. 12 graveside service at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
“One of Rob’s most admirable traits was his sense of community and giving back,” the family said, “whether through charitable donations, community involvement or devoting his time, love and wisdom to everyone in his life . . . The simplest pleasures often brought him the greatest joy.”
Mr. Tucker, a third-generation Denverite, was born Feb. 8, 1953 to the late Richard and Charlotte Tucker.
He graduated from George Washington High and earned his undergraduate degree at Duke University.
Mr. Tucker ran a printing, envelope and data management company and coached his staff to its fullest potential.
His adventurous spirit included road cycling the Triple Bypass in Colorado, skiing Vail with his sons, scuba diving in the Grand Cayman or enjoying the views while skydiving.
Mr. Tucker was a gifted photographer who leaves behind a huge photo library.
He was a lifelong member of Temple Emanuel.
Richard Tucker is survived by his wife Mary; children, Zachary (Emily), Brandon, Kristan and Savannah; grandchildren, Whitney and Micah; brother Daniel (Carmen) and sister Deanne (Eric); and a host of family and friends.
He was predeceased by his son Benjamin.
