Rick Brody is new JFS Community Chaplain

Rick Brody, JFS’ community chaplain for the Denver-Boulder area since December, 2018, felt the first conscious stirrings of the rabbinate when he was 14. While adolescent plans rarely survive adulthood, Brody has remained true to his purpose. Conversant in the profoundest subjects, he leaves plenty of room for laughter and listens with a heart that hears. Brody’s chief goal as community chaplain is to providing pastoral care, support and spiritual guidance to unaffiliated Jews in emotional crises or at the end of life. The majority of calls for assistance come from senior and assisted living facilities and hospices,  either for a visit or to attend to the dying.
