Richard Skorman elected Colo. Spgs. City Council President

 Skorman was elected president of the Colorado Springs City Council just hours after being sworn in as a member of the council on April 18. In the April 4 election, Skorman led with 58% of the vote against Chuck Fowler for the District 3 council position and raised over $77,000 from nearly 500 contributors. Skorman previously served as a city councilman, 1999-2006, and vice mayor, 2003-2005. “I decided to run again because there are so many important local decisions to weigh in on,” stated Skorman. “I’m passionate about urban development, transportation, parks and trails, utility infrastructure and our capacity to respond to wildfires.” To many locals, Skorman is known as an entrepreneur who owns and manages several businesses along with his spouse, Patricia Seator.
