Richard Siegel

Richard “Dickie” Norton Siegel, a Denver native, entrepreneur and commercial real estate agent, passed away April 11, 2021. He was 80. Feldman Mortuary made the funeral arrangements.

“The true patriarch of the family, his greatest pleasure in life was making sure his home was filled with family, friends, pets and food,” his loved ones said. “No one who entered the home ever left without a full belly of chili or chicken soup.”

Mr. Siegel was born on May 6, 1940, in Denver. As a boy, he lived on his great-grandfather’s cattle farm in Alamosa, Colo. and became rooted in the cowboy way of life.

Mr. Siegel was then raised on Denver’s West Side, where he graduated from North High School and spent most of his adult life devoted to his alma mater.

He attended CU before being drafted into the US Army.

After an honorable discharge, Mr. Siegel began his entrepreneurial endeavors and became a presence in the Denver business community as a commercial real estate agent.

He enjoyed the outdoors and the local professional sports teams.

Richard “Dickie” Siegel is survived by his wife Mindy Siegel; son Tod Siegel, son Darren (Janet) Siegel, daughter Erin (Ryan) Seader and daughter Brittany (Geoff) Goodside; grandchildren Ya El and Liam Siegel, Makenzie, Ashton and Atticus Seader, and Eli Goodside; and sisters Sue (Marshall) Heller of Los Gatos, Calif. and Lynn (Joe) Gabay-Cifrodella of Boynton Beach, Fla.

Donations may be made to the North Side High School Alumni Scholarship Foundation, Attn: Legacy of Richard Siegel, 2960 N. Speer Blvd., Denver, 80211.
