Ralph L. Nordhauser, a Denver resident since the early 1940s, passed away June 27, 2013, in Denver. Cantor Joel Lichterman officiated at the June 28 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Ralph was a true example of integrity and wisdom for his family, his loved ones said.
Mr. Nordhauser was born Oct. 3, 1929, in Germany, to the late Fritz and Hannah Nordhauser.
He immigrated to New York in 1938 and came to Denver in the early 1940s.
Mr. Nordhauser, a DU graduate, married Eleanor Nordhauser on June 21, 1958. Mrs. Nordhauser passed away on Aug. 1, 2009.
The owner and operator of a small furniture and appliance store, Mr. Nordhauser retired from business in May, 2009.
Active in community neighborhood associations and the Democratic Party, he was captain of his house district for 40 years and a member of the Montclair Neighborhood Assn.
Mr. Nordhauser is survived by his son Steve Nordhauser and daughter Lisa Nordhauser.
