JEWISHcolorado and Rocky Mountain Rabbis and Cantors are holding a prayer and rally for peace in light of ongoing violent conflict in Israel. The event is May 16, 10 a.m. at Temple Emanuel. The rally is in-person and will be held outdoors on the Temple lawn, 51 Grape Street. It will also be streamed on Facebook via the JEWISHcolorado and the Temple Emanuel pages.
Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser and the Jewish Community Relations Council will deliver remarks. Healing songs and prayers will be recited as Israel faces fighting, violence and unrest. JEWISHcolorado President and CEO Rabbi Jay Strear said, “As our people experience the worst violence in years, this is a time — the time — that we must stand with the people of Israel,” said JEWISHcolroado president and CEO Rabbi Jay Strear.
