Rabbi Asher Klein at DAT

Rabbi Asher KleinDAT Minyan has welcomed its new rabbi, Asher Klein.

Rabbi Klein holds a degree in accounting and rabbinical ordination from Yeshiva University.

He has taught Judaic studies in the Moriah School in Englewood, NJ, and in Manhattan Day School.

He comes to Denver from his position as assistant rabbi at Congregation AABJ&D in West Orange, NJ, where he helped found “West Orange Encounters,” an adult education program geared toward engaging Jews with limited Judaic background.

Rabbi Klein says that “the first time we visited Denver, we were overwhelmed by the warmth of the DAT Minyan community and the level of engagement and excitement over the opportunity to grow and strengthen the modern Orthodox and wider Jewish community in Denver.

“I look forward to bringing the minyan to new stages of physical and spiritual growth.

“I appreciate the collaborative vision of a unified, holistic community that embodies the DAT Minyan, DAT school and Camp Maayan, and the ability of this vision to engage adults and youth in a meaningful way that impacts on their synagogue life, their school life and their home life.

“I am extremely proud and excited to be a part of this vision.”

Rabbi Klein is married to Dr. Jessica Klein, DDS. They have three children, Eli, Dani and Sruli.

He has a passion for music and plays a number of instruments.
