Property taxes

don’t think I’m the only person who isn’t crazy about property taxes. In parochial communities, especially, it can be a big issue because many children attend privately funded religious schools, and school vouchers, in most states, are unavailable. This year’s property tax bill, some of you may have noticed, was higher. That’s because the bond and mill levy increase that Denver voters approved in November was enacted retroactively. To give DPS its due, it seemed to know that property owners might not react happily to this increase, and it included a contact person, who after being contacted offered to meet and discuss the increases.
