PASSOVER EDITION 5776 SECTION A PAGE 7 are times when you can’t help but think of Father Patrick Desbois as a character from French cinema. He is French, obviously. And like French actors, he doesn’t seem to need a lot of words to say what he needs to say. His lack of volubility last week, while visiting Denver, was also due to his suffering mightily from some unknown virus, possibly something he contracted on his last stop before Denver, in Guatemala. Desbois canceled his in-person interview with the Intermountain Jewish News in favor of a phone conversation, some 10 minutes into which he began to lose his voice.
