Posie Robbins Roth of Wheatridge, a long-time member of Temple Micah, passed away June 8, 2011. The service was held June 26 at IJ Morris Funeral Parlor in Hempstead, NY. Interment was at Montefiore Cemetery in Long Island.
She will be remembered with love and admiration for her support, positive attitude and wisdom, and will live forever in our hearts, the family said.
Posy Green was born March 22, 1954, in New York City to the late Fay Robins Roth and Herbert Roth.
She studied ballet as a child and adolescent at the Metropolitan Opera House School of Ballet, with hopes of becoming a ballerina. A leg injury ended her professional dancing career.
A graduate of Forest Hills High School, Mrs. Roth graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Mass., in 1976 and later earned an MA in cultural geography.
She worked for a time at the UN.
In 1987, she graduated from the American Center for the Alexander Technique in New York City and taught people healthier, less stressful movement techniques.
She moved to Denver in 1993 and continued working as a movement teacher.
Mrs. Roth is survived by her children Max Green of Chicago and Faye Green of Denver; and sisters Beth Roth of New Haven, Conn., and Jinny Isserow of Fairfax, Va.
