Performance enhanced

After watching “The Program,” the 2015 Stephen Frears movie about Lance Armstrong’s doping, I picked up the book Wheelmen, written by the two Wall Street Journal writers who pursued the case for years. It’s an enthralling read that transports the reader back in time and conveys the less savory aspects of Armstrong’s character. The book, like many, takes the view that Lance’s doping meant he was cheating, that he didn’t really win those seven victories. In the cycling community, there’s more controversy.
