Penelope “Penny” Berenbaum, wife of the late Joe Berenbaum, passed away April 20, 2019, in Denver. Rabbis Joe Black and Steven Foster and Cantor Elizabeth Sacks officiated at the April 24 service at Temple Emanuel, where members also participated. Interment followed at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Mrs. Berenbaum was born Oct. 3, 1921, in Greenwood, Mississippi.
She met her future husband Joseph “Joe” Berenbaum while working at KVOD in Denver.
They were married in 1948.
Mr. Berenbaum passed away on Nov. 3, 2010.
Penny Berenbaum is survived by her children Kay Berenbaum, Sandi (Michael Weber) Berenbaum and Jim (Wendy Kazman Berenbaum) Berenbaum; and grandchildren Amy (Mike) Goodman and Katie (Carl Szanton) Berenbaum.
