Paul Andrew Cartwright

Funeral services for Paul Andrew Cartwright, a longtime Wyoming resident, took place Dec. 29 in Gillette, Wyo. Mr. Cartwright passed away Dec. 22, 2014. Feldman Mortuary assisted with arrangements.

A native of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., Mr. Cartwright was born Oct. 11, 1927. He married his wife Shirley in 1950 and was preceded by her in death on Sept. 12, 2012.

He served in the US Army from 1946 to 1948 and was stationed in Japan and Korea. Until his retirement in 1982, Mr. Cartwright worked in management for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.

“He was a great father, grandfather, husband and friend,” his family said in a statement, “and was loved by all.”

Surviving Mr. Cartwright are his sons Daniel (Polly Cartwright of Gillette, Wyo. and John (Marilyn Lowrance) Cartwright of Denver; and grandchildren Paul (Amy) Cartwright of Atlanta, David and Andy Cartwright of Denver, and Nicole and Natalie Cartwright of Gillette, Wyo. He was the step-grandfather of Hillary and Alexander Lowrance and the great-grandfather of three.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of choice.
