summer, brothers Ben and Sam Orkin of Aurora traveled throughout Peru navigating rivers in remote areas of the country. “Traveling provides a chance to gain a different perspective on life especially in terms of how privileged we are in the US,” says Sam, 25. “My brother and I know that we are fortunate to have the chance to fulfill our passions while influencing other people’s lives.” After months of planning, the Orkin brothers started with a short trip on the Chile river to familiarize themselves with their rental boats, followed by kayaking on the Colca river, the second deepest canyon in the world.
