prospect of being stuck in a strange city for Shabbat should be stressful, but a well-oiled machine of Shabbat hospitality, honed through generations, and passed on from parent to child, means that a stranded Sabbath-observant traveler can almost always find a place for a Shabbat meal, no matter what city, what state, or how close to Shabbos a person gets stuck.
