Longtime Denver resident Francene Rose died on July 15, 2022, nine days before her 84th birthday. A service was held July 17 at Rose Hill Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Bruce Dollin. Feldman Mortuary handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Rose was born on July 23, 1938, and grew up on Denver’s West Side, attending North High School. She married Sheldon Rose on Sept. 4, 1960, and they remained a couple until Mr. Rose’s passing on June 25, 2016.
Aside from her vocations as a flight attendant and her work in the mortgage loan industry for more than 20 years, Mrs. Rose was well known as “mom” as camp director at Shwayder Camp. She also volunteered for many years at McMeen Elementary.
“She was known for her relationships, shining optimistic outlook and good will toward all,” her family said. “She adored her friends and staff at Balfour Senior Living, and loved sharing stories.”
Survivors include her son Brian (Lisa) Rose and daughter-in-law Terrie Rose; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Sheldon and her son, Larry H. Rose.
Mrs. Rose is also mourned by “the love of her heart,” Jerry Feiner.
Contributions may be made in honor of Larry and Francene Rose to the Cancer Care Center at Regions Hospital Foundation in St. Paul, Minn.
