Evan Matthew Gould passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 28. A service was held on September 1 at Feldman Mortuary, followed by interment at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary handled the arrangements.
Born in 1998, Mr. Gould attended Thomas Jefferson High School, where he played varsity basketball. He was also a journalist for the school’s newspaper and TV broadcast.
Mr. Gould was a CSU graduate, majoring in statistics with a minor in sports management. After college, he was instrumental in conceptualizing and opening one of Colorado’s first sportsbooks. For the past five years Mr. Gould was a statistical sports analyst for Fanatics Betting and Gambling.
While in college, Mr. Gould created and managed the Denver Nuggets blog, Nuggelove.
“He had an enormous heart and genuine curiosity about the world,” his family said.
“While he always loved a challenge and was competitive in games, he never shied away from congratulating his victors and giving credit where credit was due.
“He loved animals and cared about people. He showed up for them, made them laugh, and brought a special energy into the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.”
Survivors are Mr. Gould’s parents, Tamara (Brad Bush) Foxworth and Ari (Diane Amdur) Gould; sister Ellie Gould; and stepbrothers Brian Amdur and Michael (Sydni Barboa) Amdur. He is also mourned by “the love of his life,” Madelyn Charney.
