Shana Katz
Denver native Shana Katz died on July 30, 2024. She was 91. A service was held on August 2 at Rose Hill Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Rick Rheins. Feldman Mortuary handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Katz, who was born on July 2, 1933, grew up in East Denver and attended East High School. She married Bernie Katz in Denver. Mr. Katz died in February, 2021.
Mr. and Mrs. Katz owned the office supply store United Business Products, which operated in southeast Denver for more than three decades.
“Shana’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family,” her family said. “She lived a long, wonderful life with her husband Bernie and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.”
Survivors are children Terri (Jerry) Orlovsky and Peggy (Gary) Zimmerman; grandchildren Paige (Mike) Hauser, Alex Zimmerman, and Bryan and Jill Orlovsky; great-grandchild Remy Hauser; and sisters Renee Heller and Judy Vad.

Harriet Roth
Longtime Denver resident Harriet Roth passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 92. A service was held on July 31 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Bruce Dollin. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Ms. Roth was born on October 30, 1931. She attended Cheltenham Elementary, Lake Junior High and North High School. She attended Los Angeles City College and received an associates degree in arts.
For approximately 30 years, Ms. Roth was a secretary for a real estate broker in Los Angeles. She returned to Denver in the early 2000s to be close to her brother Sidney.
“Harriet cared deeply for her brother,” her family said. “She never stopped talking about how much she loved him and how good of a sense of humor he had. The fact that she moved all the way back to Denver to be close to him shows how dedicated she was to the people she was close to.”
Survivors are cousins Parker and Mark Newman. Ms. Roth was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Fannie Roth; and brother Sidney Roth.
