Scott Dachman
Denver native Scott Dachman died on February 4, 2024. He was 59. A service is planned for March 14 at Emanuel Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Steven Foster. Feldman Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
Born on September 15, 1964, Mr. Dachman attended Overland High School. He once owned The Camelot Lounge, and previously worked at The Trophy Shop.
Mr. Dachman’s family described Scott as a music lover; he was in several bands as a drummer.
“He also loved animals, particularly dogs,” Mr. Dachman’s sister, Cindy Dachman-Ward, said. “He loved his dogs like no other.”
At the time of his passing, Mr. Dachman lived in Las Vegas, Nev.
Survivors are Mr. Dachman’s sister Cindy Dachman-Ward and stepsister Starla Dachman; and nieces and nephews Whitney (Jason) Baldwin, Nicholas Niblo, Landon Niblo, Justin Froyd, Rhyland Baldwin and Paxton Baldwin.
Sondra Lubin
Sondra Lubin of Bethesda, Md., died on February 11, 2024, at the age of 87. She was the mother of the late Dr. Harlan Lubin of Denver, mother-in-law of Dr. Rebecca Heitler Lubin of Denver. A service was held at Congregation Beth El of Montgomery County in Bethesda, officiated by Rabbi Greg Harris, Rabbi Deborah Megdal and Chazan Asa Fradkin.
Mrs. Lubin (née Haber) was born in the Bronx, New York, and grew up in Dayton, Ohio. In 1961 she married Cantor Abraham Lubin. They lived in Chicago in 1968 and then moved to Bethesda in 1990, where Mr. Lubin became cantor at Congregation Beth El.
While in Chicago, Mrs. Lubin was the leasing agent for the historic Windermere Hotel, and a volunteer for the Chicago Council for the Jewish Elderly.
“Sandy’s loves in life were her adoring and devoted husband, her three children and their spouses, and her nine delicious grandchildren who are committed to emulating Sandy’s values of kindness and generosity, not to mention her elegance and sense of style,” her family said.
Survivors are Mrs. Lubin’s husband Abraham; children Stephanie Lubin, Shary (Marc) Lubin Levitt and daughter-in-law, Dr. Rebecca Heitler Lubin; and grandchildren Sam, Micah, Raquel, Sophie, Jess, Alex, Zeke and Ariana. She was predeceased by son, Dr. Harlan Lubin, and granddaughter Juliet Lubin.

Gregg Pooley
Denver native Gregg Pooley passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 68. A service was held on February 15 at Feldman Mortuary, officiated by Rabbi Steven Kaye. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Born in 1955, Mr. Pooley grew up in the Hilltop neighborhood, and attended Carson Elementary, Hill Jr. High School and George Washington High School. He was an Eagle Scout and was chosen as one of a select group for an exchange with scouts from Japan.
Following one year at CSU, Mr. Pooley worked in the western wear business in South Dakota and California before returning to Denver to work in real estate. He was an active member of both the Summit County and Denver County real estate communities.
“He loved the business and was involved in many aspects of it,” Mr. Pooley’s family said, “from buying and selling properties, to taking and giving seminars, to being a managing broker to selling mortgages.
“He was known by all as a friendly, funny, quirky guy, and he had a way of doing his own thing.”
Mr. Pooley also had a love of theater and camping.
“There wasn’t a theater or show he didn’t enjoy or support if he knew about it, and he most likely did,” his family said.
Survivors are Mr. Pooley’s brothers, Doug (Karen) Pooley and Jeff (Reita) Pooley; and nephews and nieces Sean (Andrea) Pooley, Marisa Pooley, Trevor (Kelly) Pooley, Tara (Scott) Wentz, Lauren, Cameron and Tyler.
