Nancy Shwayder
Denver native Nancy Shwayder died on Feb. 28, 2022. She was 77. A service was held March 3 at Temple Emanuel, officiated by Rabbi Joe Black. Arrangements were made by Feldman Mortuary.
Mrs. Shwayder grew up on Denver’s East Side, and attended George Washington High School. She also attended the University of Colorado.
In 1964, she married Ken Shwayder. The two remained a couple until her passing.
Mrs. Shwayder worked at GWHS with business students in DECA (formerly Distributive Education Clubs of America), and also ran the school store. Mrs. Shwayder was also an avid golfer.
“As a devoted wife, mother and doting grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her family and friends,” her family said.
Survivors include her husband Kenny; children Danny (Stacey) Shwayder and Mindy (Eric) Foulger; and four grandchildren.

Daniel Klaiman
Colorado native Daniel “Danny” Klaiman passed away Feb. 22, 2022. He was 62. A service was held Feb. 25 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, officiated by Cantor Mark Zalkin. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Mr. Klaiman was born on March 24, 1959, in Pueblo. His parents, William and Elsa Klaiman, were both Polish survivors of the Holocaust.
A graduate of Pueblo South High School, Mr. Klaiman attended the University of Southern Colorado. He was a longtime worker at King Soopers in the Denver area.
“He particularly liked stand-up comedy and has an immense knowledge of comedians dating from the birth of television to modern day,” his family said. “An outing to a comedy club was a special treat.”
Mr. Klaiman was predeceased by his parents. Survivors include his sister, Linda Bauer, and his brother, Henry (Ann) Klaiman.

Maurine Waldbaum
Denver native Maurine Berkowitz Waldbaum passed away on Feb. 27, 2022, at the age of 93. A service was held Feb. 28 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Richard Rheins. Arrangements were made by Feldman Mortuary.
Mrs. Waldbaum was born and raised on Denver’s East Side. She married Louis Waldbaum in June, 1947; they remained a couple until Mr. Waldbaum’s passing in 1970.
Active in synagogue life, Mrs. Waldbaum was sisterhood president at BMH-BJ several times.
“She was strong, elegant, open-minded and never shy to share her opinions,” her family said.
Survivors include children Deborah, Randy and Mark (Scott); and four grandchildren.
