Marvin Kark
Former Denver resident Marvin Kark passed away on May 11, 2024, at the age of 82. A service was held in Jerusalem, where Mr. Kark made aliyah in 2019. Feldman Mortuary assisted the family in Denver.
Born on October 19, 1941, in Pueblo, Colo., Mr. Kark moved to Denver to attend DU, where he received a degree in accounting.
Mr. Kark was with the accounting firm Stark, Hochstadt and Kark until 1981, when he left public accounting and moved briefly to Israel. A few months after the move, Kark returned to Denver to start MZ Kark Assoc.
“He made his life dream come true and moved to Israel years ago, and was so happy living there,” Mr. Kark’s family said.
“He greeted everyone with his big smile and had a fierce love of Israel and Judaism, which he instilled not only into his children but also his grandchildren.
“We are a proud Jewish, Zionistic family because of him.”
Mr. Kark was previously married to Roselyn Kark. He later married Vera Kark, in Israel.
Survivors are Mr. Kark’s wife Vera; children Jill Coughlan, Shellie, Andy and Laura Kark; siblings Edye Londer and Lenny Kark; and grandchildren Hannah, Jacob, Asher, Spencer, Brayden, Reese and Jake Kark; and Caley, Chase, Megan and Cooper Coughlan.

Allan Bernstein
Longtime Denver resident Allan Bernstein passed away on March 2, 2024, two days before what would have been his 81st birthday. A service was held on March 4 at Golden Hill Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Akiva Stern and Cantor Martin Goldstein. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Born on March 4, 1943, in Owatonna, Minn., Mr. Bernstein’s family moved to Denver, where he attended North High School. The family subsequently moved to Los Angeles, where Mr. Bernstein graduated from Dorsey High School.
Mr. Bernstein operated a nightclub, then began a career in a family-owned furniture business. He later worked at factory outlet stores and American Furniture Warehouse until retirement.
“Allan had a heart of gold,” his family said. “Family was very important to him. He was a very kind soul.”
Survivors are siblings Barry (Marjorie) Bernstein, Linda (Sam) Peri, Richard (Mary) Bernstein and Neil (Daphne) Bernstein; and nieces and nephews Laurie (Michael) Bierman, Nicole (Brian) Fox, guy (Miriam) Peri, Gil (Bethany) Peri, Ron (Jennifer) Peri, Zoe (Jake Burns) Bernstein, Erinn (Adam) Alcabes, Jordan Bernstein, Kelton Bernstein and Porter Bernstein.

Florence Radetsky
Longtime Denver resident Florence Radetsky died on January 18, 2024. She was 98. A service was held on January 21 at Temple Emanuel, with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Joe Black and Cantor Marty Goldstein. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Born in St. Louis, Mo., on June 4, 1925, Florence met Marvin Radetsky in Denver in 1953. They married in 1955 and were a couple until Mr. Radetsky’s passing in 1994.
“Florence was a dedicated wife, mother of three daughters and grandmother of nine granddaughters,” her family said. “She was a modest, unassuming woman with a quiet, but good natured, unflappable presence.”
Survivors are children Lisa (Alistair Gatoff) Radetsky, Susan (Robert Rubel) Radetsky, Marla (David) Brown; and grandchildren Ilana (Michael Kasdan) Gatoff, Dina (Michael Pisem) Gatoff, Dalia (Harris Mevorah) Gatoff, Marisa Rubel, Laurel Rubel, Gillian (Griffin Bohm) Brown, Margo Brown, Liana Brown and Melanie Brown.
