Janet Frank
Longtime Denver resident Janet Frank passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 86. A service was held on December 19 at Temple Sinai, with interment at Mount Nebo Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Rick Rheins and Rabbi Michael Shields. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
A native of Chicago, Ill., and born on April 8, 1939, Mrs. Frank met Don Frank at Purdue University. They were married 1959.
In 1979, the couple moved to Denver, where Mrs. Frank taught elementary school. She later received her government Series7 certification to work for a wealth investment company in Denver.
Mrs. Frank was active at Temple Sinai, book clubs, Welcome to Colorado and other cultural activities.
“She expressed her love through cooking and through the many blankets she lovingly knitted for family members,” her family said.
“She was an avid reader, always curious and continually nourished by the worlds she discovered through books.
Survivors are Mrs. Frank’s husband Don; sons David and Daniel (Kathy) Frank; and grandchildren Daigo, Keito, Sarah and Joshua.

Dean Berenbaum
Denver native Dean Berenbaum died on December 24, 2025. He was 65. A service was held on December 28 at Emanuel Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Jordan Friedman. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Born on March 31, 1960, Mr. Berenbaum graduated from Colorado Academy and graduated from CU with a bachelor’s degree in environmental conservation.
After graduation in 1984, Mr. Berenbaum spent the next year traveling, starting in Japan and making his way to Australia, just to “have a look around.”
In 1997, Mr. Berenbaum married Beth Steinhorn. He worked in his father’s real estate business. In 2008, he began a career in emergency management. He volunteered with Rampart Search and Rescue while interning with the Adams County Office of Emergency Management.
Mr. Berenbaum led emergency management for the City of Evans and Adams County. He was active with the American Humane Assn.; he chased hurricanes to rescue animals.
“Dean is remembered as one who loved his family, his work, his dogs, Jewish traditions and the outdoors — a man who was always prepared,” his family said.
Survivors are daughters Molly Berenbaum and Talia Berenbaum; and sister Lisa Stewart.
