Denver native Barry Kramish died on July 15, 2023. He was 70. A service was held on July 17 at Emanuel Cemetery, officiated by Cantor Elizabeth Sacks. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Born on May 16, 1953, Mr. Kramish grew up in the Hilltop neighborhood, attending George Washington High School. He then attended CSU and obtained a degree in avian science in order to work in the family business, Pluss Poultry.
“He was a wonderful, kind and generous man who loved his family, loved spending time with his grandchildren, enjoyed great food and was an avid sports fan,” his family said.
Survivors are children Whitney (Adam) Nettleton, Aaron (Wendy) Kramish and Adam (Stephanie) Kramish; siblings Roni (Steve) Quinn and Sherrie (Buzz) Hainlen; and grandchildren Ella and Foster Nettleton and Miles, Nora and Maxwell Kramish.

Denver native and longtime Temple Emanuel member Bernice “Bernyee” Rothstein passed away on August 4, 2023, at the age of 96. A service was held on August 7 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, officiated by Cantor Elizabeth Sacks. Feldman Mortuary handled the arrangements.
Born on February 6, 1927, Mrs. Rothstein (née Miller) attended Gove Jr. High and East High School. On Dec. 31, 1944, at age 17, she married Julius Rothstein; they remained a couple until Mr. Rothstein’s death in 1994.
“They fell in love on the first blind date when they went dancing and never stopped,” Mrs. Rothstein’s family said.
Mrs. Rothstein was a makeup artist for Mademoiselle Magazine and a model for Oscar De La Renta shows, as well as a grooming instructor for Frontier Airlines.
She and her daughter Alana owned a women’s self-improvement studio in Cherry Creek.
“She was basically a modern feminist without even knowing it,” Alana said. “She was an active, adventurous and funny, beautiful lady.”
Mrs. Rothstein and her late husband were members of Temple Emanuel for over 60 years.
Survivors are Alana (Barbi Bonfiglio) Rothstein, Morton (Louise) Rothstein and Michael Rothstein; grandchildren Alan, Jonathan, Daniel, Jacob and Spencer Rothstein.
