Barbara Carr
Denver native Barbara “Bobbie” Carr died on March 30, 2025. She was 90. A service was held on April 1 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Rick Brody. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Born on February 21, 1935, Mrs. Carr grew up on Denver’s West Side, attending North High School.
Barbara and Jerry Carr were married in 1953; they remained a couple until Mr. Carr’s passing in 2009.
Mrs. Carr and her husband, along with Carolyn and Ralph Auerbach, were instrumental in starting the Kosher Food Pantry in Denver, and in transferring it to JFS.
JFS honored Mr. and Mrs. Carr in 1994 for their community leadership, most natably their founding of the Kosher Food Pantry, which at the time, served 200 families.
“Mom was feisty, sassy and a fiercely loyal wife and mother,” daughter Julie Carr said. “She was a beautiful woman and always presented herself with charm and grace.”
Survivors are daughters Julie Carr and Shelley (Eddie Gigliotti) Carr; grandchildren Yael (Matt) DeVita and Samuel (Shoshana) Maxwell; and great-grandchildren Jeremy and Maya.

Audra Feierstein
Denver native Audra Feierstein passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 46. A service was held on March 30 at Temple Emanuel with interment at Mount Nebo Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Emily Hyatt. Feldman Mortuary handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Feierstein, born on October 3, 1978, grew up in southeast Denver. She attended Holm Elementary School, Hamilton Middle School and East High School.
A worker at Denver Children’s Home, Mrs. Feierstein also worked at Camp Chai and was a BBYO advisor for chapter 2310.
“Audra was dedicated to helping teens,” her father, Gary Epstein, said. “Her greatest joy was her two boys, Max and Lucas. “She was the ultimate baseball mom.”
Survivors are Mrs. Feierstein’s husband of 20 years, Jeffery; sons Lucas and Max; parents Sue and Gary Epstein; sister Lauri (Dan) Hornsby; nephews Michael and Matthew Gaffney; and cousins Bryan (Inna) Epstein and Derek (Linda Seymour) Epstein.
