Norm Wedgle
Norm Wedgle, a Denver native, passed away June 13, 2018. He was 74. Rabbis Steven Rubenstein, Bruce Dollin, David Zucker and Cantors Martin Goldstein and Moshe Weiss officiated at the June 14 service at Shalom Park. Burial was held at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
“Norm was diagnosed with MS in 1968 at the age of 23,” the family said. “In spite of the disease, Norm lived a happy life and made friends with his charming and outgoing personality.
“He opened his arms and heart to everyone and took pride in his family, heritage and accomplishments. Norm had a unique way of lifting people’s spirits, and was always ready with a joke.”
Mr. Wedgle was born and raised on the West Side, where he attended Colfax Elementary, Lake Junior and North High School.
A salesman and manufacturer of janitorial supplies, he took classes at UCD to continue his education.
Mr. Wedgle married his high school sweetheart Sandy Grossman in 1968.
He will leave a big void at Shalom Park, where he lived for the past 10 years.
Mr. Wedgle is survived by his wife Sandy Wedgle; sisters Yetta (Bernie) Robinson and Honey Wedgle-Gesundheit (David Gesundheit); daughters Mindy (David) Fried and Mara (Charlie) Madnikoff; and grandchildren Haley Fried, Braeden Fried, Sophie Fried, Mackenzie Madnikoff, Sydney Madnikoff and Delaney Madnikoff.
