Nona Feiner, a Denver native and developer of the Spa Connection, passed away May 11, 2017, in Denver. Rabbi Bruce Dollin and Cantor Martin Goldstein officiated at the May 12 service at the HEA. Interment followed at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
“My mother was an explorer,” daughter Wendy Dworkin said at the service. “She explored alternative practices of health, spirituality and wellness, and was at the forefront of the exercise movement.
“Amid all of the exploration were stable foundational principles that she passed on to us — a love of family, the importance of Judaism and living a Jewish life, daily exercise, smiles and laughter, and of course music.”
Granddaughter Alana Goldberg said her Grammy “made sure I always knew how much I am loved.”
Mrs. Feiner was born June 12, 1939, in Denver and attended East High School.
She married Gerald “Jerry” Feiner on Aug. 18, 1957.
Mrs. Feiner started and operated the Spa Connection to provide life-enhancing vacations and experiences.
“Nona had an infectious smile and a laugh that warmed your heart,” the family said.
Mrs. Feiner is survived by her husband Jerry Feiner; children Lori Feiner Goldberg and Wendy Feiner (David) Dworkin; sister Sheila Hoffman and brother Rabbi Howard Hoffman; and grandchildren Alana Goldberg and Jessica and Melissa Dworkin.
