No more excuses

“After the holiday.” A most convenient excuse for just about anything, and an especially ironic one for postponing what the holidays ask us to do.

It is true, this year the holidays, from Rosh Hashanah all the way through to Simchat Torah, fell on weekdays and interrupted everyone’s regular schedules, making the prospect of starting new projects overwhelming.

Well the holidays are over now and it’s time to continue the spiritual, educational or cultural connection that many of us made over the holidays.

Many opportunities abound. In this week’s IJN alone, we read of adult education classes at Temple Micah, Hebrew classes at Beit Torah in Colorado Springs, two Torah dedications, a film and lecture at Aish Denver, and a concert at Rodef Shalom, not to mention the 40 ongoing daily, weekly and monthly educational offerings listed  in the Jewish Events Calendar.

If the prayers and sermons of the holidays this year spoke to you at all, now is the time to respond. No more excuses! Join a class!

For a full listing of classes, see the Education category in our Community Calendar.
