Naomi Phillips, a native Denverite and last surviving child of Sam and Mary Barter’s six children, died on June 5, 2016, in Colorado Springs. Cantor Martin Goldstein officiated at the June 7 graveside service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
“A very generous person who supported many charities around the country, she helped put all her grandchildren through college,” her loved ones said.
“She would rather spend one day with her family than anything else.”
Mrs. Phillips was born Dec. 11, 1924, in Denver and graduated from North High School.
She married Milton Phillips on Dec. 22, 1944.
A housewife, Mrs. Phillips worked in billing and orders at her husband’s business, Brunswick Wholesale Drug Co.
She also put in many hours of volunteer work, particularly at various hospitals.
Mr. Phillips passed away on March 27, 1997.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by her sons Jerry (Wendy Haggren) Phillips and Joel (Carol) Phillips; and four grandchildren.
Her daughter Barbara Phillips passed away on March 30, 2003.
