Miriam H. Newman, a longtime Denver resident, passed away April 18, 2009, in Aurora. Rabbi Steven Foster officiated at the April 22 service held at Feldman Chapel. Interment followed at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Mimi loved to travel, the family said. She and her husband Harry had been all over the world, visiting out-of-the-way places. She also was very theatrical she loved to sing and act.
Mrs. Newman was born April 16, 1927, in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated Lafayette High School and Los Angeles City College.
She married Harry Newman on Sept. 19, 1947, in New York. Mr. Newman passed away on Oct. 6, 1992.
Mrs. Newman was an executive secretary at May D&F. She retired in 1991.
Mrs. Newman is survived by her children Michael (Kathy), David (Paula) and Robert Newman; and five grandchildren.
