Mireille Kemisa Nataf, an award-winning educator, passed away Feb. 3, 2010, in Louisville, Colo.
Rabbi Benjy Brackman officiated at the Feb. 4 service at Rose Hill Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
She was a fabulous mother who had a wonderful life, her family said. She was a teacher of students, and life, and will be missed very much.
Mrs. Nataf was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Nice, France, and was raised in Tunise, Tunisia. She later attended the Sorbonne in Paris.
After marrying Fernand Nataf, she and her husband moved to Los Angeles. Mr. Nataf passed away in 1998.
In Los Angeles, Mrs. Nataf taught math and French at St. Marys Academy. She was the recipient of several top teaching awards and retired in 1990.
Mrs. Nataf moved to Broomfield, Colo., after her husbands death to be near her son.
She traveled to Israel and France many times.
Mrs. Nataf is survived by her sons Andre Nataf of Morrison and Rabbi Francis Nataf of Jerusalem; grandchildren Kalen Nataf, Avi Nataf, Yoel Nataf, Tamar Nataf, Amalia Nataf and Saadia Nataf; brother Alfred Khyat of France and sisters Evelyn Cohen and Germaine Cohen.
