Mary B. Helfant, a former Denver resident, formerly of Delray Beach, Fla. passed away on July 13, 2008. She was 80.
Rabbi Bernard Eisenman, former spiritual leader of Rodef Shalom, conducted the service, held on July 16 at Eternal Light in Boynton Beach.
Born in Chelsea, Mass. Mrs. Helfant graduated from Chelsea High School in 1946. She then worked for Plymouth Cloth Manufacturer for a decade until 1960.
She married Myer Helfant in 1960. He died in 2006 at the age of 85 in Delray Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Helfant owned and operated the Copper Broiler Restaurant in Copper City, Colo. from 1970-1974. Mr. and Mrs. Helfant moved to Florida in 1992.
She was also a former member of Rodef Shalom and Bnai Brith.
Mrs. Helfant is survived by her two sons Howard of Denver and Robert of Los Angeles.
