Martin Leszman, a Holocaust survivor, passed away Nov. 25, 2010, in Denver. Rabbis Steven Foster and Selwyn Franklin officiated at the Nov. 28 graveside service at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.
Mr. Leszman was born Jan. 24, 1926, in Dzialoszyce, Poland. He graduated the sixth grade before the Germans closed the schools to Jews in 1939.
Interned in concentration camps from 1942-1945, he came to Tyler, Texas in 1949.
One year later he moved to Denver.
Mr. Leszman married Joyce Rubin on Aug. 23, 1953.
A furniture manufacturer, Mr. Leszman owned Standard Mfg. He retired in 1975.
Mr. Leszman is survived by his wife Joyce Leszman; daughter Jill Dalke and son Jeffrey Leszman; and grandchildren Amy and Aaron Leszman.
