Marilyn Levenson

Marilyn Levenson, a onetime Volunteer of the Year at Shalom Park Nursing Home, died Oct. 28, 2021. A service was held Nov. 1, 2021 at Hebrew Educational Alliance, officiated by Rabbi Bruce Dollin.

Mrs. Levenson was born on January 20, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from North High in 1963. In her professional life, Mrs. Levinson became co-owner and bookkeeper at the Desk Store. Later, she became a familiar face at Shalom Park, where she worked in the gift shop. She was Volunteer of the Year in 1995.

In 1966, she married Ronald Levenson, and their marriage lasted 55 years until her passing.
“She was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and great nana,” the family said.

Mrs. Levenson is survived by her husband, Ronald Levenson; children Michele Levenson (Philip Redmon), Shani Jo (Mark) Friedman and Jason Neal (Julie) Levenson; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
